Who Wanderlust works with
Most coaching is built for mid to senior level professionals who want a change. That can be a small pivot, a new industry, higher pay or less burnout. The team also works with early career people who are still finding their direction. It also serves people facing barriers to work, including long unemployment or disabilities.
How Wanderlust works
Each client has four 45-minute strategy sessions per month with a career coach. Between sessions, clients can reach their coach without limit for check-ins and to review resumes, cover letters, writing samples, email drafts and job postings. Coaching includes timelines, action plans and building new habits. It also uses a data-driven career testing and assessment process.
Background and qualifications
Katherine Kirkinis, Ph.D., founded Wanderlust Careers. Wanderlust began as a psychotherapist in New York City, working with adults on identity issues. Wanderlust's clients kept bringing up career problems, so this coach's work shifted toward career change and job fulfillment. Wanderlust then earned a Ph.D. in vocational psychology and studied career assessment and testing. As client demand grew, Wanderlust brought in more coaches. The team now includes a career testing specialist with an M.A. and a resume writer who is a Ph.D. candidate.
