Strongman promoter Hjalti Arnason found Jon in Reykjavik when he was young. Jon then began training with four-time World's Strongest Man Magnus Ver Magnusson. He went on to represent Iceland in two World's Strongest Man competitions. He started out as a basketball player. He also built skill in powerlifting, weightlifting, shot put, crossfit and speed rowing, and he trained as a personal trainer. Today he is a master trainer at Virgin Active Riverside in London.
