Brian served in the US Army as a Special Forces officer from 2017 to 2022. He commanded a Special Forces detachment during train-ups and deployments across EUCOM and CENTCOM. He also served as a platoon leader and company executive officer in the 75th Ranger Regiment, with deployments to CENTCOM and INDOPACOM. He then worked at Bain & Company with clients in aerospace and defense, financial services, consumer goods and mining. In 2024 he did strategy and market research work on defense customers at Teamworks. He holds a finance degree from the University of Maine, where he swam NCAA Division I.
