That is the highest of six countries, just above Singapore ($214) and the US ($212). Australia ($185) and Canada ($159) are lower, and South Africa is lowest at $150.

Three of the six countries land in almost the same place at the typical rate: The UK, Singapore, and the US ($212 to $216). The UK pulls ahead higher up, with an upper quarter of $340 vs $300 in the other two. Canada, Australia, and South Africa sit lower at every level. South Africa has very low bottom rates but a top end ($538) that is higher than the US or Singapore.

The US and Singapore post the same typical range: $150 at the low end and $250 at the high end. Canada and Australia both post $125 to $200. UK ranges are the widest, $133 to $265. South African ranges start at $80, about half the US level, but still reach $200.

The typical UK executive coach charges $216 an hour, about $4 more than the typical US executive coach and the highest typical rate of the six countries. The UK also has the highest top end. The top 10% charge $564 or more, about 2.6 times the typical rate. With 131 coaches, the UK sample is large enough to trust, though it is much smaller than the US sample (981).
Executive coaching rates in Australia
Australian executive coaches have a typical rate of $185 an hour, with the middle half at $123 to $248 (31 coaches). That is $27 below the US and $26 above Canada. The sample is just over our 20 coach cutoff, so treat it as a guide.
Executive coaching rates in Canada
Canada sits well below the US. The typical rate is $159 an hour and the middle half charge $106 to $233, based on 167 coaches. The gap shows at every level: Canada's top 10% start at $372, compared with $450 in the US, and its bottom 10% charge up to $80, compared with $110.
Executive coaching rates in Singapore
Singapore's typical executive coach charges $214 an hour (40 coaches), the second highest typical rate of the six countries, behind the UK. Every Singapore executive coach in our data posts a range rather than one price.
What drives the price
- Country matters most between the top group and the rest. The UK, Singapore, and US are within $4 of each other at the typical rate. Canada is $53 lower than the US, and South Africa is $62 lower.
- The top end varies most. The top 10% threshold runs from $328 in Australia to $564 in the UK. If you are quoted a very high rate, it may still be normal for that market's top end.
- Executive vs leadership title. In five of the six countries, the executive title comes with a higher typical rate, by $12 to $37 an hour. Singapore is the exception.
- South Africa is the lowest cost market. Its lower quarter ($75) is half the US lower quarter ($150), though its top 10% still reach $538 or more.
Should you hire an executive coach in another country?
If you can work with a coach remotely, you can shop across borders. A UK buyer looking at US coaches will find the typical rate is about the same ($212 vs $216), not lower. A US buyer looking for a lower cost option will find it in Canada ($159) and South Africa ($150). Canada also has the larger sample of the two. Time zones, language, and business culture may matter more than a small price gap.
It is not worth paying a top-end rate just because a coach is based in a high priced market. Compare what the coach has done with leaders like you.

We drop any country with fewer than 20 coaches, and every country shown has at least 31 executive coaches.
