Background and qualifications
Shal started in finance as an investment banking analyst in M&A at Morgan Stanley. After business school, Shal did sell-side equity research at Merrill Lynch. Later Shal held several roles at Goldman Sachs, most recently as a Vice President on the Growth Equity Team in Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Shal also interned at Putnam Investments during business school. Shal holds an economics degree from Princeton (1998) and an MBA from Harvard (2002). Shal is a CFA Charterholder with over two decades of investment experience.
