How Arno works
Each session runs one hour and starts right away with a mock interview. There is no intro call, because a real interviewer will not give one either. The mock interview is meant to be an accurate preview of the real thing. If a candidate struggles a lot, Arno stops partway through. Then he moves into coaching and has the candidate redo key parts of the answer.
Background and qualifications
Arno started out as a factory engineer in manufacturing. He had never heard of McKinsey until his mid 20s. A year later he left his job to join McKinsey's Operations Practice. There he worked as an interviewer and saw how candidates succeeded or failed. He also coached and mentored prospects who were thinking about joining. He served as a coach in a formal program for mid-career operations candidates in EMEA. After McKinsey, he moved into tech and freelance work.
