Sebastian began college after 10th grade at Bard College at Simon's Rock, a residential program in Western Massachusetts. There he found his interest in sociology and built his writing skills. He later went to law school and worked as a law clerk. In April 2020 he decided to pursue a PhD in sociology. He worked on it full time. He now combines legal and sociological training in academia. He struck out on his first law school applications, retook the LSAT and reapplied.
