She then worked at Northern Michigan University as a regional admissions counselor and Assistant Director of Admissions in Chicago. After eight years on the college side, she became a high school counselor in Colorado for six years. She then opened her own college consulting business. She earned her undergraduate degree at Bradley University and her M.S.Ed. at Northern Illinois University. She is an active member of RMACAC and NACAC and has served on committees for IACAC, RMACAC and NACAC. She has also presented at professional conferences.
