How Matt works
Matt builds each student's curriculum from a large library of official GMAT questions. The questions come from nearly every Official Guide and GMAT Quantitative Review going back to 2015. He sorts them by topic and difficulty. This lets him target practice on a student's weak spots and move from basic concepts to harder official problems. He teaches students to see the structure behind a problem so they can use the same reasoning on new questions on test day.
Background and qualifications
Matt has tutored the GMAT full time for the past nine years. He has also tutored the GMAT, GRE and LSAT on and off for 25 years. He scored a 760 on the GMAT. He earned a JD/MBA from Northwestern University in 2010, including an MBA from Kellogg. He also holds an MA in Political Science from Stanford (2001) and a BA in Public Policy from Duke (1996). Before tutoring full time, he worked in financial services, strategy and public policy. His roles included Bank of America, GE Capital and the U.S. Senate.
