Background and qualifications
Andy studied economics at Stanford. He took several second-year MBA courses at Stanford GSB and worked as a writing tutor for a selective humanities track. After college he worked at an e-commerce startup and became Program Manager for Online & End-User Marketing. He also wrote a screenplay and signed with a Hollywood literary agency. Since 2002 he has worked with three consulting firms. He co-designed an editing service, worked as a re-match consultant, and served as the firm's essay doctor. He mentors new consultants, teaches essay workshops, and interviews applicants for Stanford.
